Wow--lots to choose from.  Are you done with them all or in the middle some?  I'd love to read reviews on the book review board if you have time to post!  Or maybe start a book discussion for each and see if there are any takers for discussions.

Do you recommend one over the others?

I am done with all of them and really enjoyed each one.

Time Travelers Wife & Life of Pi are very unique works of fiction. Both are entertaining and meaningul in unusual ways.  The first few chapters of Life of Pi were a bit hard to get through but the rest of the story is totally worth it.

Long Way Gone is the memoir of  a boy soldier from Sierra Leone.  Wonderful book. He manages to tell his horrifying story withot an ounce of self pity.  If you have seen Blood Diamond, you are familiar with the confict and child soldiers in that region.  This is a fascinating story told from the point of view of the young soldier.  Ishmael Beah was forced to join Refugee United Front when he was about 10 years old.  Insane and troubling yet not depressing.  Plus, most Starbucks sell this book so you could grab it during your coffee fix.  :)

The Other Boleyn Girl is my most recent read. Fun to read about that time period from the point of view of the fictional Mary Boleyn.  Plus, they just finished shooting the film version starring Scarlett Johanson and Natalie Portman. Out in December. Holds pretty true to history but also reads like a juicy novel :)

Guess I Should have posted this on the  review board..oops.

Re: Anyone just start or just finish a good one?

Thank you for the info on Long Way Gone.  I have seen the book on Amazon as well as at Borders and something makes me stop and pick it up each time I see it.  I was worried about how depressing it might be and haven't picked it up for that reason.  That and the fact that I'm not finished with Travels with Charlie yet.  I think that will be my next read.

Thanks for the post.  It helped make my decision easier.

The time travelers wife is one of my favorite books, I live in Chicago and the places she talks about, like Club Metro in the late 80's are right on.  I still think about the part where he ends up in his ex-girlfriends apt, and she keeps asking if she ends up with 2.2 kids and a house on the north shore.  Just great overall writing.
